QuickBooks announced last week that their new QuickBooks Business Network is officially live. The QuickBooks Business Network releases new productivity and automation tools to better manage and grow your business. As of right now, it is a limited release and is not yet available to all QuickBooks Online customers. We have all the answers to the FAQ’s right here, right now.

What is the Quickbooks Business Network?

It is a new service that allows QuickBooks Online customers to find and view the contact information of other QBO customers.

What do you need to know?

Your business contact information is now searchable by all members of the QuickBooks Business Network. This includes your company name, phone number, email address, website, city, state/province, and postal code (street address us excluded). All other account information will be hidden.

QuickBooks has said they are committed to protecting privacy so none of this information will be available to non-members. They have released this statement to ease the concerns of customers: “We promise to never sell your personal information, and to give you transparency and control over how your data is shared.” For more information about how QuickBooks keeps your data secure, visit this link.

What do you need to do?

Make sure all your business contact information is up to date in your QuickBooks Online account under Account and Settings.

Not interested?

You can choose to not be listed in the QuickBooks Business Network by opting out. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account and go to Account and Settings > Advanced > QuickBooks Business Network to turn off your visibility. Doing so won’t affect your Quickbooks Online account.
